At the age of 6, my parents transformed our living room into a vibrant place of worship, turning it into a church. This sacred space was where my musical journey began.
Under the loving guidance of my mother and my sister, I learned to play the piano and sing melody and harmony. Every Sunday, in our cozy country home, I played hymns and created new songs on our cherished upright piano from age 6 to 12. My moto became, "If I can sing it, I can play it."
I was a tiny figure on the piano bench, with strawberry-blonde hair cascading down my back and a freckled nose that added to my youthful charm. Uniquely, I sang harmony while playing melody, a rare and captivating talent.
My sister and I were soon invited to perform on local radio stations, in jails, and at various events. Our voices harmonized beautifully, bringing joy to many.
Now, I channel my creativity into writing lyrics using a keyboard and sophisticated software to craft melodies for music beds.
The magic doesn't stop there; my friends Maureen and Rick bring the arrangements to life with added instruments. Rick's voice, reminiscent of Neil Diamond, adds a unique touch to our creations.
They are incredibly talented professionals, performing with a fabulous band based in Alaska and later Western Colorado. They continue to dazzle audiences with their Christmas and New Year's Eve shows, and they excel in creating music beds for demos!
